Hello, my name is Noriko. I am the owner of Global Toyonaka.
I belong to an NPO which promotes international cultural exchange. I founded Global Toyonaka in January 2008 with the leader of the NPO in order to make a place where foreigners can enjoy working and also to have good relationships with them by speaking English, the international language. My main hobby is playing golf, but I am not good at it. I also do aerobics to keep fit. My goal in the near future is to speak Korean fluently, and my long term goal is to make our school the best in Japan with fun, comfort, and quality of lessons here at Global Toyonaka.
Hello, My name is Sarah.
I'm from Seattle in the United States. Now, I live in Inagawa in Hyogo. My father is from Hyogo so I've been enjoying coming to visit the Kansai area of Japan my whole life, and I'm happy to be living here now. I enjoy gardening, bicycling, painting and cooking. I have experienced teaching English in Japan and Israel. I also taught Hebrew when I lived in the United States. Before I moved to Japan I worked in a small government office called the Washington State Arts Commission after graduating with a Bachelor's degree from The Evergreen State College, where I studied philosophy.
Hello! I’m Akiko. I teach TOEIC at Global Toyonaka, and I enjoy it very much! I also teach junior high school students, who are so lovely!
I love hiking and watching films. I lived in England and Turkey for a while!
I look forward to seeing you at Global Toyonaka!
Hello, I`m Ellen Yoshioka nee Bernardo.
I was born in the Philippines and studied for a Bachelor of Arts at The University of Santo Tomas, where I majored in Economics. I graduated from San Beda College of Law and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 1996. I love linguistics and am particularly interested in etymology (the history and origin of words). Japanese is the 4th foreign language I have learned, after English, Spanish and French.
It is my great honor to present myself as one of the teachers at Global Toyonaka!
I am a third generation Toyonakan after my grandparents moved from Tottori. I have lived in Toyonaka almost all of my life except for the 11 months I spent in Boston 20 years ago as a Fulbright scholar at Emerson College, and these days except for some weeks here and there to visit my family in the United States. At Global Toyonaka, I have enjoyed teaching secondary school English, conversational English, medical English, TOEIC and TOEFL, believing there are even more fun classes to come! I look foward to meeting you out there some time soon.
Hello. My name is Matt. I'm from England. I lived in France for 8 years, and I have been in Japan since April 2015.
I like history, traveling, cinema and good food, like delicious yakiniku, yakitori and sashimi…mmm! My
advice is to never be afraid of making mistakes, or asking questions if you don’t understand everything.
I was born in Spain, graduated from the University of Salamanca, now I'm a Phd student at Osaka University as well as a Spanish Teacher at Global Toyonaka!
In my class, I teach students vocabulary related to their recent activities before getting
deep into a more textbook based style. I’m always happy to see how students
remember those little things and bring them to the classroom even when I forgotten I taught them!
Hello. My name is Kumiko.
I teach junior high school students and adults.
I like playing the guitar, listening to music and cooking, especially Italian food.
I want you to know that learning foreign languages is just amazing! Let's have fun!!
Hello, my name is Yoan Amari, I teach French and English at Global Toyonaka.
I studied English at the University of Rennes (France).
I have been giving French and English lessons for over a year and half in Japan. From businessmen to children, I am good at providing either serious or fun lessons. Living in Japan is my first time outside my country for such a long period of time but it is quite an interesting and unique experience.
Hi, I’m from Nepal. I like to keep my lessons simple, fun, and practical.
What I enjoy most about teaching is sharing my EFL experience to help students
feel more motivated and confident when communicating in English and so on.
